Jørgen Bek Weiss Hansen is an attorney and partner in the law firm Lassen Ricard. He is admitted to the Danish Bar and to the New York State Bar and has a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in corporate governance from Stanford University.
His main areas of work are commercial law, where he advises Danish and international companies, mainly on issues regarding company law, mergers and acquisitions, finance law, energy law and construction law.
Jørgen is also deeply involved in the entrepreneurial community. He assists a number of entrepreneurial organisations such as Stardust-DTU, Venture Cup, the Foundation for Entrepreneurship, Danish Tech Challenge, Scion-DTU and Start-Up Chile, offering advice, lectures, pitch training and assistance as a judge in entrepreneurial competitions etc. Moreover he is a mentor and advisor to numerous entrepreneurs, primarily high-tech entrepreneurs from the Technical University of Denmark.
Jørgen is also a lecturer at Copenhagen University, the Faculty of Law, where he teaches the graduate course "The entrepreneur's legal challenges". Furthermore he is co-author of the textbook bearing the same name, where his contributions include the chapters on Shareholders' Agreements and growth outside Denmark.
