Asbjørn de Roepstorff graduated at law (Master of Law) from University of Copenhagen (2010), and as part of his training he studied at the University of Kent at Canterbury (UK). Asbjørn was admitted to the High Court in 2014.
Asbjørn started his career at Lassen Ricard in 2010, was admitted to the bar in 2013 and became an associate partner in 2021.
Asbjørn works within the area of commercial law, where he advises companies particuarly on the subjects of construction law, corporate law, intellectual property law, real estate and commercial agreements in general. Moreover, Asbjørn has acted as counsel to public authorities on procurement and to private clients on succession and estate planning.
Among Asbjørn's primary fields of work are litigation and arbitration proceedings, where he represents clients in Danish and international arbitration cases and before the Danish courts. Asbjørn also has experience with preliminary reference proceedings before the Court of Justice of the European Union.
In 2020 Asbjørn was temporarily appointed High Court judge at the High Court of Eastern Denmark (Court of Appeal), where he gained valuable experience with litigation seen from the judge's perspective.
