Historical Walk in Old Town

IBA Annual Conference 2026

Welcome to Copenhagen –
and to Lassen Ricard
at the IBA Annual Conference 2026

We are delighted to welcome colleagues and friends from around the world to Copenhagen for this year’s IBA Annual Conference. As a leading Danish law firm with deep roots in the heart of the city, Lassen Ricard is proud to participate in this landmark event hosted in our hometown.

At Lassen Ricard, we are recognized for our strong capabilities in intellectual property rights, complex commercial matters, and transactional work. For decades, we have advised Danish and international clients across innovative industries, helping them navigate legal challenges with clarity, precision and strategic insight.

To mark the occasion of the conference coming to Copenhagen, we are pleased to invite attendees to join us for a historical walk through the central parts of the city. Together, we will explore Copenhagen’s rich legal, cultural and architectural heritage — from medieval streets and iconic landmarks to stories that have shaped the city’s commercial and creative life.

Whether you are looking to connect with our team, learn more about legal developments in Denmark, or simply experience Copenhagen from a new perspective, we look forward to meeting you.

Welcome to Copenhagen. Welcome to Lassen Ricard.

Where to experience contemporary art
Copenhagen Contemporary is Copenhagen’s international center for contemporary art. Located in the magnificent former B&W welding hall, and remodeled by renowned Danish architect Dorthe Mandrup, it offers 7,000 m2 of beautiful industrial halls with many contemporary artists’ work: total installations, performance art, and monumental video work.
Copenhagen Contemporary is located in Refshaleøen. You can easily get to Refshaleøen and Copenhagen Contemporary by harbor bus.

Where to eat
Bottega Barlito, only a short walking distance from Lassen Ricard's premises, is a cosy restaurant, where you may not want to leave when your plates are empty: Bottega Barlito also has a bar set up in its large back room.

Where to drink coffee
CABIN, with calm, welcoming environment, this coffee bar is somewhat reminiscent of a Finish sauna.

Best sightseeing
Kastellet. Kastellet is a citadel and star fortress in Copenhagen and one of the best‑preserved fortifications in Northern Europe. It was built as part of Copenhagen’s bastioned defenses by Christian IV beginning in 1624.

Where to eat
From Sailor's Inn to GastroPub. In the middle of Copenhagen's most attractive street, Nyhavn, the small Hyttefadet is bolstered by a rich history and traditional surroundings. Hyttefadet serves traditional open sandwiches, Danish national dishes and modern cocktails.
